My reviewer is away on a conference, so, yeah.
I’ll probably make the paper version on Monday, or whenever. :u
I probably should feel accomplished, but I’m sleepy as fuck and keep thinking about how it probably is really dumb, especially the conclusions, because I’ve been having some sleep disturbances lately and was already semi-comatose today while trying to push on finishing this.
Whatever. Sleeping in during this weekend. And going back to drawing. Or finding out that I can’t draw anymore. Hahaha.
A collab between me and Niverdia. She did the sketch, I lined and colored it.

17. The Universe is so vast that I’m sure there could be life on other planets. In fact, taking into account the age of the Earth and how (relatively) quickly chemically complex life appeared on Earth, there also exist theories that life arrived here from space. So, there definitely must be some life elsewhere, although I can’t say anything about there being intelligent life anywhere else… for now.
42. I can be quiet for a number of reasons, like being sleepy, tired, thinking about something or just not having anything to contribute to or whore for attention with. :D
46. Mostly about my future and other people’s perception about my academic and possible work skills :s . Also, I have emetophobia, so I always check everything before eating for signs of possible spoilage. /shot

Thanks a load! I hope to do more art when I finish my Master thesis at the end of the month. :O
She said that her mentor approves of using literature references even if you’ve only read the abstract of a publication, whereas when I did my Bachelor thesis 2 years ago, my then-mentor insisted that you can’t go just off abstracts because sometimes they don’t accurately represent the information within.
While I’m also somewhat pedantic about this issue, I’m currently considering actually perhaps doing that, because I have looked up several would-be handy articles to reference some things I already know about my research objects, but even with the University access I can’t access a lot of them without cashing out around $50 per single publication .pdf and, well, since I’ll probably have ~100 different references in the end (or more), it’s not likely that my reviewer will have read all of them.

Since I’ve read and analysed a fair bit of those during my studies, I can say that I haven’t encountered that many of them where the actual publication goes against the information snippets given in the abstract, in comparison to those cases where even though the results and hypothesis are in accordance to the abstract, when you dig deeper, you get the impression that the methods and/or the representation of the study results are pretty dubious, which generally seems to be a quite larger/common problem with publications everywhere.
So, I dunno? Just felt like putting this ramble out here.
Worked on this piece for most of today, but I feel that the colouring looks very badly done and bland, and that’s been a waste. .___. I should have gone for more watercolour/less pencil, because the watercolour parts have enough contrast for my taste, the pencil ones… not nearly enough.
Anyway, this guy’s name is Sensha, he’s faaabulous, and I’ll be keeping him for… something.
